Wishing all our family and friends (cyber friends too) a very Merry Christmas. We are spreading out our holiday festivities this year and celebrating with family before and after Christmas. We are grateful for good health so far during this season (knock on wood), and our close proximity to family that makes celebrating fun and easy.
We are also beyond grateful for the birth of a Savior. Each year, I try to put myself in Mary’s shoes now that I am a mother; and each year, I continue to be astounded by her story–her viewpoint–from the beginning at immaculate conception to the end when Jesus is crucified. As a mom, it’s painfully gut-wrenching to imagine her role in God’s bigger story, but her obedience yielded hope for all future generations.
