PREGNANCY WEEK: 13
GENDER: Unknown. We will definitely find out, because I’m a planner and want to know if we’re set with our slew of boy clothes or if we need to go shopping for a future Hobson princess.
WEIGHT GAIN: Will find out at appointment next week. Definitely more than 1 pound by now. I thought I grew a lot between week 11 and 12. Well, never underestimate your body because I feel like week 12 to 13 had twice as much growth!
CRAVINGS: Fooooood! I’ve been starving since last Thursday. I still wake up hungry in the middle of the night, despite heavy protein dinners. I honestly can’t go more than 2 hours without being hungry. It’s really a crazy feeling. The Mexican craving is still high on the list, but that was once again fulfilled yesterday at a goodbye lunch for a co-worker. I did have a huge craving for traditional pizza on Tuesday night, maybe because I was a bit jealous when my husband posted this picture on Facebook over the weekend with the caption: Only when Haley is out of town…
So what did I do? I made a pizza at home using gluten-free crust. Definitely not the same, but did the trick. And then I felt lethargic the next day. Ugh. The following night, I had my infamous salad after a CrossFit WOD and felt full and wonderful, reminding me that there is a good reason why I eat the way I do.
WORKOUTS: On Monday, I did a short met-con, but my heart wasn’t in it. I was cold and tired. Oh yeah, and working out while keeping an eye on JM is also a mental workout. On Wednesday, things started looking up. The WOD was 7 rounds for time of 5 deadlifts at 155 lbs (I scaled to 135), 6 burpees and 7 pullups. I was breathing heavy after Round 1, but this workout was awesome and just what I needed to get back into it. I took some strategic breaks for 5 seconds or so when I needed it, because I know my heart was pumping like crazy. Today the WOD is Blackjack, definitely a doozie for me with all those pushups. I predict it will take me f.o.r.e.v.e.r.
MATERNITY CLOTHES: None yet. Still haven’t broken out the belly bands, but I have them ready and waiting. The bump is definitely more prominent than it was at this point with James Michael.
SYMPTOMS: Pregnancy brain?Well I’m not sure I’ll go that far, but I did manage to lose half my keys from my key chain (they mysteriously fell of!?!) and misplaced our mailbox key all within one week. Still tired, but I think that’s just due to being a mom to a one year old.
LOOOOOOVE this!!!
