Poldark Demelza

Until my kids are grown, I will likely veer from deep, thought-provoking novels and instead choose books that I can enjoy and follow easily at the end of a long day.

When my friend Lauren mentioned starting up a book club, you’d think I’d just won the lottery with the giddiness that I felt.

Instagram post 2191749277431316869_54372709 Living their best Rowdy boy life.

Listen closely for Daddy saying: “Go ahead. If you fall it’s only going to be 20 feet. It’s not going to kill you. It’ll just break your leg.” 🤪

Instagram post 2191045608511632660_54372709 Winter weather and more time indoors is the perfect setting for getting back to basics in the kitchen. I’m freezing soups and stews, the husband is canning and dehydrating, and I’m also making an effort to stock the pantry with other homemade foods that I normally buy thanks to convenience. I’m looking at you, granola and granola bars 👀 Though I’ll be completely over #winter come February, for now, I’m embracing it and being as productive as possible.
Instagram post 2189580467936928013_54372709 Can’t find my husband . . .

This is what deer hunting looks like in the city limits. Throw on #camo and step outside onto the back deck with a bow. Here’s to hoping for some venison this winter 🤞
Instagram post 2189511821457742632_54372709 We’ve pulled out all the reds and greens and are racing into December. We spent way too much time making messy gingerbread houses yesterday just to watch them crumble. Then we got smart and pulled out the superglue, but should have glued all the candy to deter little fingers from stealing pieces constantly. We decorated the tree this morning, and despite a string of lights not working and the fact that the bottom third is bare thanks to a certain 16 month old, our spirits are high and our sights are set on the thrill of hope that is coming in 25 days! #happydecember #christmasiscoming
Instagram post 2189480411078341619_54372709 Just a couple Peter Pipers helping to pickle their Daddy’s #hydroponicpeppers.

Instagram post 2188134242716995620_54372709 Spent the day outside hiking and racing (see my Insta stories!) with my people. We are absolutely loving this temperate weather!
Instagram post 2187860025236762325_54372709 This year, we are changing things up a bit and my kids are receiving an experience gift that we will use #Christmas Day, along with a few fun items in their stockings. Find out what we’re doing differently and check out my list of #stockingstuffers for kids. {Link in profile}

Instagram post 2187317433881289397_54372709 I saw this quote this morning and couldn't agree more. "Be thankful for all of it. The highs. The lows. The blessings. The lessons. The setbacks. The comebacks. Everything." #thankful #happythanksgiving
